The monsoon season officially began June 15th. We are finally starting to see clouds and a little bit of moisture. But with those storms comes lighting. And several fires have been started in Arizona from lighting.
There is a fire south of us, it was started by lost hikers. They set a signal fire that got out of control.

It was hard to get a picture of this little guy. As soon as the 20 or so kids found out there was a toad they all came running.
He was moved off the field so he wouldn't be trampled.

Quasi...for short. This guy's name was Quasimodo...because he wasn't taken care of well at the pet store and became disfigured due to an illness. So he has a lump at his shoulders and back legs.
The reptiles the kids were shown today came from Heritage Park Zoo.
They take in injured and abandoned animals.

My grandparents had these outside their home. So when I saw them across the street I had to go take pics of them. They remind me of my childhood.
